GAZIANTEP GOKCEK PUBLIC HOSPITAL

The hospital with 350 beds that was planned as staging consists of three blocks as polyclinic, patient bed, and diagnosis-treatment. The blocks that will be built in different times are united with each other with steel bridges. Patient bed blocks were evacuated by installation story as well as solved above the diagnosis blocks. This functional planning is emphasized as architectural language and different material in the facade in the third size as well. The emergency room was located in the basement of diagnosis block by separating foot and car traffic. Personnel, patient and visitor separation is considered in transportation to the building. External patient, internal patient, visitor and personnel flows were separated in unit zoning via horizontal and vertical circulation; circulation conflicts have been avoided.  It is aimed to benefit from sunlight at maximum by courtyards and tears opened in roof slab for spatial and psychological comfort. Belonging, privacy, and guidance were used as the crucial design input in indoor and outdoor perception. Indoor and outdoor perception were integrated by planning the gallery gap at the hospital entrance with entrance canopy.
