GOKCEK STATE HOSPITAL
The 350-bed hospital, planned in stages, consists of three blocks: outpatient clinic, inpatient bed and diagnosis – treatment. These blocks are connected to each other with steel bridges. The block of patient beds is located above the policlinic and diagnosis block and it is separated from them through the void of mechanical floor. Thus the functional concerns acquire an architectural expression in the third dimension by solid-void relationship and this expression is emphasized by the differentiation of facade materials.
The emergency service is resolved on the ground floor of the diagnostic block, with pedestrian and vehicle traffic separated. In the access to the building, the separation of personnel, patients and visitors was considered, external patient, internal patient, visitor and personnel flows were separated with unit zoning in horizontal and vertical circulation, circulation conflicts were prevented. The perception of space has been expanded with the hospital entrance with a wide gallery space.
