Balıkesir Private Hospital
Bandırma Private Hospital is located in the southeastern part of Bandırma, Balıkesir, on a 13,013 sqm site. The site is positioned between the Bursa–Çanakkale main road to the southwest and a forested area to the northeast. The main hospital entrance is accessed from the primary road, while emergency and service entrances are separated and located along the secondary road adjacent to the forested area, reducing conflicts between different circulation flows.
The architectural organization responds to the level differences across the site through a circulation spine connecting the upper and lower elevations. This spine structures the main circulation areas and galleries while organizing the hospital functions within a compact building configuration. Patient wards, outpatient clinics, physical therapy, diagnostic and treatment units, intensive care, operating rooms, and supporting functions are distributed according to their operational relationships.
The design places particular emphasis on creating a calm and restorative healthcare environment. Courtyards, landscaped areas, natural daylight, and visual connections with greenery are integrated into the hospital to strengthen the relationship between interior spaces and nature. These elements support a biophilic and therapeutic approach, providing comfortable spaces for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
