YALOVA HOUSING COMPLEX
Vega Houses comprises 34 residences oriented toward the northwest, with views and privacy forming the primary design considerations of the project. Each residence is conceived as a transparent volume oriented toward the sea, establishing a strong visual relationship with the surrounding landscape.
Responding to the sloping topography, entrances are positioned at intermediate levels. The overall site layout is carefully organized to orient each residence toward the landscape while minimizing obstruction of neighboring views. Interior living spaces are integrated with double-height galleries illuminated by skylights, bringing natural light deep into the residences.
The houses are grouped into paired and three-unit blocks. By setting back the individual units from one another, private courtyards are created while maintaining privacy between neighboring residences. Each house is positioned to maximize access to natural daylight and sea views.
The project adopts a simple and restrained architectural language, allowing the relationship between the residences, topography, daylight, and surrounding landscape to define its overall character.
